Counselling Psychology · Childhood Trauma Specialist
Beyond
Survival.
Specialist therapy for adults who survived childhood sexual abuse — and are ready for more than just coping.
My Approach
Beyond Survival.
"The past does not have to define your future. Together we can explore how trauma shaped your patterns, emotions, and relationships — so you can feel safe in your own body, trust your instincts, and move beyond survival into real empowerment."
I am a UK-trained Specialist Counselling Psychologist, specialising in childhood sexual trauma and the treatment of complex trauma (CPTSD) and PTSD in adult survivors.
Tailored for You
Your Healing, Your Way
Every survivor's journey is unique. I offer support built around you — not a protocol.
Compassionate Support
A non-judgmental, trauma-informed space where your experience is fully heard and validated. No pressure to share more than you are ready for.
Personalised Interventions
Therapeutic approaches chosen and adapted specifically for your history, your goals, and your readiness — not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Holistic Healing
Addressing the full impact of trauma on mind, body, relationships, and sense of self — supporting lasting recovery rather than surface-level coping.
Trauma Therapy
Therapy for Childhood
Sexual Abuse Survivors
You've survived something profound. Maybe you've built a life — but parts of you may still be carrying the weight of what happened.
Understanding Your Struggles
Persistent emotional confusion, burnout, difficulty trusting others, vivid trauma memories, dissociation, hypervigilance. These aren't flaws — they're intelligent survival adaptations to impossible circumstances.
Specialised Approach
I offer therapy for people who survived childhood sexual abuse and want more than just coping. Together, we work toward real empowerment — at your pace, on your terms.
Your Pace, Your Healing
We go at your pace, and we go deep. When you're ready. I'm here to listen in-depth, with skill and honesty, supporting your unique journey toward integration and genuine empowerment.
About Me
Dr. Leah Jameson
I'm a UK-trained Counselling Psychologist with a Doctorate from the University of South Wales and a Master's from Birmingham City University. I specialise in childhood sexual abuse and incest, and my research explores trauma from the perspectives of both survivors and therapists.
I work from a position of lived understanding of how trauma shapes your capacity to trust, connect, and feel safe. My research and clinical expertise are grounded in both survivor perspectives and therapeutic best practice.
Rather than viewing your responses as symptoms to be 'fixed', I see them as meaningful adaptations. Together we work toward integration and genuine empowerment — in a space that is safe, skilled, and without judgement.
Evidence-Based Practice
Counselling Techniques
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
An evidence-based approach that helps you identify how trauma shaped your beliefs about yourself, safety, and relationships — and gently rebuild a more compassionate, accurate picture.
Systemic Therapy
Explores how family dynamics shaped who you became, and how your relationships can become a source of healing rather than re-traumatisation. Considers you within your full relational context.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Brings awareness to the ways past experiences live in the present, so they no longer need to drive you from the shadows. Increases self-understanding and resolves underlying patterns with depth.
